Ladder Reviews

On Sunday August 13th, Brookville witnessed an exciting Men's Finals Day featuring three remarkable matches.

Kicking off with a thrilling three-set encounter between Jeff and Donald, the favorite Jeff faced a challenging start from Donald's multifaceted attack. Despite a valiant effort, Jeff struggled due to fatigue from his prior days' workload. Donald dominated the first set, proving his worth as a finalist. Jeff rallied in the second set, battling back to win 7-5. With momentum on his side, Jeff secured the final set 6-2, clinching victory.

The intensity persisted in the D3 Final between Serge and Nathan. A rematch of a heated regular season match, both players emphasized accurate line calls. Nathan's speed gave him an edge in the first set, winning 6-4. However, Serge's champion spirit shone in the second set as he controlled the court, claiming a 6-2 win. Serge maintained his dominance, overwhelming his opponent and ultimately triumphing with a 6-0 finish, becoming the 2023 Division 3 Singles Champion.

The pinnacle of quality arrived in the D1 Singles Final between Roy and Chris. Chris, a two-time champion, faced off against determined Roy. Their match showcased extraordinary skills, speed, and athleticism. Both players displayed remarkable groundstrokes, spin, and precise passing shots. Chris ultimately secured a 6-2, 6-2 victory, reclaiming the Division 1 Men's Singles title.
